Contracts with Famous Card Companies

The K League will launch a trading card and start full-fledged marketing. Trading cards printed with sports players' game scenes are in high demand enough to form a market for collecting or exchanging among sports fans. Cards that have been recognized for their rare value, such as rookie cards and sign cards, of overseas superstars, are even traded for hundreds of millions of won.

In Korea, trading cards containing U.S. sports contents such as the U.S. Major League Baseball (MLB), the U.S. National Basketball Association (NBA), and the U.S. National Football Association (NFL) have been very popular among enthusiasts. There are also steady attempts to produce cards such as trays for domestic sports, but they are not receiving much attention yet. The soccer training card is probably a little unfamiliar. 스포츠토토

The Professional Football Federation introduced on the 30th that "the soccer trading card market is active not only in the United States but also in European soccer fans," adding, "Panini, where we collaborate, is also an Italian-based trading card company." The federation planned the project in order to develop items that fans can collect in addition to the club's goods as trading cards record history on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the K League.

The fact that overseas fans' needs for K-League trading cards are also growing as the K-League status has increased internationally due to the performance of players entering Europe has also affected. Lee Chang-hoon, a pro at the federation's strategic business team, said, "As the number of players playing overseas increases, interest in the K League Rookie Card, which has a great meaning for the first edition, is actually increasing among overseas collectors."

As the sports trading card culture is not yet well understood by the public, the federation will pay attention to the development of various contents that will stimulate the desire to collect over the next two to three years. In the same vein, it has joined hands with Panini, a world-class trading card company that has signed licensing contracts with NFL and NBA as well as soccer such as the English Premier League (EPL), Spain's Primera Liga, and Italy's Serie A. The program said, "The collection of EPL-like formats in Panini will increase the value of the collection." In the future, he also talked about the idea of linking offline cards with online fan activities by combining them with web-based "K League Fantasy."

Recently, 400 boxes of pre-orders were sold out in two hours, reflecting the high interest of soccer fans. From September 1, it will be sold at convenience stores 7-Eleven, Ministop, and KICK, the official K-League application. At the end of September, a high-end limited edition card is also scheduled to be released.
